Hot Forming Technology
Warm (or hot) forming technology is a latest technology which produces high-strength stamping parts with high-strength steel and achieves vehicle lightweight and safety improvement of vehicles.
Application:
Different from the conventional rules and with the novel design idea, warm (or hot) forming process is not only the frontier technology in stamping, but also the latest technology for automotive stamping of high strength steel.
The front and rear bumpers, the A-pillar, B pillar, C pillar, the roof frame, the bottom frame, the inner door panels, the anti-collision door rods and other structural components of automobiles.

In fact, in order to meet the more stringent European crash safety standards (NCAP) after 2004 and the European emission standards IV, large carmakers around the world are increasingly using hot forming technology to produce high-strength steel stampings.
Advantage:
1) It can produce parts with strength of 1500MPa, which can be welded into high-strength driving unit to withstand more than six tons of static without any damage.
2) Reducing the wall thickness or cross-sectional dimension to reduce weight to 18-35%, achieving lightweight and saving material consumption.
3) Under high temperature, the materials have great plasticity and formability so that they can be formed into complex stampings in one step. Those stampings, which need multiple sets of tools and many times in cold stamping, can be stamped in one step by warm forming. It can reduce the number of molds and forming processes and the forming parts can be designed more complicated.
4) Forming under high temperature can eliminate the springback effects. The forming parts have high precision and good quality, which is the biggest advantage of warm forming technology.
